ADVERTS AND BROADCAST: What we do

adverts what“Telling a story in 28 seconds” is hard to do. RNA does it very well and has many years of experience in doing so.

Our commercials work has ranged from a TV campaign for Learn Direct (thirty one commercials in thirteen different languages, as explained in the case study that follows) to radio and television commercials for “Music on Fire!” and the Badminton Horse Trials for the Army Benevolent Fund, high-profile celebrity ‘Gold Heart’ TV commercials for Variety Club for several years, and short, sharp programme trails for the BBC, Sky1, Sky 3, Living TV and the Community Channel.

Our broadcast programming production ranges from the Variety Club ShowBiz Awards for both Sky 1 and 3 and for Living TV (featuring celebrities including Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsay, Stephen Fry, Ewan McGregor and Dame Helen Mirren) to A Tribute to Esther Rantzen for BBC 1 and Kismet Road, a controversial and ground-breaking 13-part health drama series focused on British Asian life today.

Shown on the Community Channel, Kismet Road was the first UK-produced TV drama to tackle many issues which, until then had been taboo. Independent evaluation commissioned by the broadcaster and carried out by the specialist firm Ethnos Research and Consultancy produced an AI (“Appreciation Index”) of more 90% which, within the broadcasting industry, is exceptionally high and rarely achieved. Hits on the programme’s website indicated that almost 96% of the target market had viewed at least four programmes in the series, and more than 80% had watched it all.
